Distinguished by its striking, minimalist lines and master craftsmanship, this award-winning three-legged armchair was designed and produced according to sustainable development principles, using alternatives to traditional timbers.
Aetos, the Greek word for eagle, is an environmentally-friendly piece made of multi-laminar plantation wood which reproduces the decorative effect of oak. The chair is based on an innovative technique of moulding 3D oak veneer in which the three-dimensionality of its shell provides a friendly, flowing and delicate sculptural form.
Aetos beautifully combines product functionality with aesthetic pleasure, innovation and meticulous hand-finished manufacture. Exceptionally elegant, highly individual and a true tribute to nature.
Aetos was recognised with the 2006 Good Design Award by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design
