Injecting humour and playful elegance into everyday products, the designer presents the surreal side of life.

A belief that humour, coupled with quality manufacturing, can bring pleasure to our daily routine is at the heart of Reiko’s work. And is committed to working closely with British industries and companies, in particular the ceramic industry in Stoke on Trent (pictured). At this heart of British ceramics many companies continue to produce fine quality Bone China.

Domestic production lends itself to opportunities with producing bespoke and personal products. This proved very popular over Christmas and reflections of babies, children and adored pets were fired onto baubles, ready to decorate trees once more this Christmas.

Reiko Kaneko has been developing small design products for the giftware market since 2005, launching new products at International fairs such as ICFF New York and Maison et Objet Paris.

2009 will see a new venture into furniture and lighting design, which is to be launched at Milan Furniture fair in April. This collection will see the usual playfulness translated into larger, eye catching pieces. Later in May, an extensive ceramic and glassware collection will be exhibited for the first time at Pulse London.
